• The obtuse region features the actor, athlete, tv show, and movie bracket.
• The winner of the actor bracket faces the winner of the athlete bracket.
• The winner of the tv show bracket faces the winner of the movie bracket.
• Those two winners will face off in the Super 6.   
• The winner of that matchup will go to the April Madness Triple Threat Final.

It’s that time again. Everyone’s favorite time of year.  Connor is Awesome presents the 3rd Annual April Madness.  This year there will be some changes.  We went from 4 categories in 2006, to 8 in 2008. Now, we will have 12 categories.  They will be made up of last years 8: Actors, Athletes, Movies, TV Shows, Songs, Random Things, Hot Chicks and Places I’ve been. We will be adding 4 new categories: Years, People I Want Dead, Friends, and Internet Videos.  

Because of the way the categories work out, we will split it into a April Madness Triangle.  

The Obtuse Region will consist of: Actors, Athletes, TV Shows, and Movies. 

The Acute Region will consist of: Hot Chicks, Random Things, Songs, and Places I’ve Been.

The Right Region will consist of: People I Want Dead, Friends, Year, and Internet Videos.

Tommorow I will post the brackets for the Obtuse Region.

I’ll be the first to admit, I exaggerate how funny I am.  I rely on tragedies and self deprecation to make people laugh. Usually it works.  Sometimes it does not.  I tend to believe anyone who doesn’t laugh at my stuff is either jealous of how funny it was, or just to stupid to get the joke. But every once in a while I impress even myself.  I will have the elements come together and form some sort of epic hilarity.  The What Would Have Happened If I Went to Penn State blog (since lost forever [sad face]) is an example. To some extent the J-Mac blog too. Bear in the house was a good one. And now that I think about it, I come up with a lot of really funny stuff.  Real World East Falls is beloved by dozens. DOZENS!  And it’s nice to have a place where I can take credit for all the humor. I say all this, just to set up this line:

Fuck you Family Guy.

The date was 11/26/05. I was living in a little paradise I like to refer to as East Falls.  Me and my friends were drinking beers.  My friend Steve and I noticed that we needed to have our drivers licenses renewed.  Then I thought of a great idea. I turned to Steve and said, “Let’s get drunk for our license pictures, that way if we get pulled over drinking and driving, the cops will think its just how we always look.” We both agreed it was a great idea. And it was.  And we did it. Steve has a photo ID that still makes me laugh to this day. Even my friend Sean did it, or at least his picture makes him look like he did. Steve ripped the chained pen from the table he was so hammered! We agreed it was the best idea ever. We were so awesome.

That brings us to this sunday, the new family guy episode. I DVR’d it, and watched it just last night. And no less that 10 seconds into the episode…this happened:

I don’t beg for many things. In fact, usually sex is the only thing I find myself begging for. But today I come begging once more. This time for entrants.

No recap last week. And no recap this week. Why? Because the last two episodes have sucked real hard. But a few observations…

• How can you hire a tranny to be a “sexy” dancer?
• Abs must be loaded as shit.
• Ryan has not been featured nearly enough lately.
• The only good part about the Real World the last two weeks has been the promo for the Duel II.

I love meat. It is delicious. Growing up, being a good Catholic boy, it was always “no meat on Fridays.” As I’ve grown older, and more priest have been doing boys, I’ve realized maybe the church and it’s rules aren’t always right. So my new rule is “meat on Friday, unless someone reminds me that there’s not supposed to be meat on Friday.” Then I’ll do my best not to eat meat, but if steak accidentally finds my mouth, so be it.

So here’s my thing. I’m out to dinner on Friday. I’ve been told no meat. I look at the menu and see “Lobster.” Is lobster considered meat?

These are the things I think about when I drive alone long distances.

I hate cats. But even I couldn’t help but succumb to the awesomeness that is this video of Charley the cat with some disease or something.
